About Department


The Department of Nursing IGNTU Amarkantak was established in 2023 with the objective of imparting high-quality education and practice to students, so that they have in-depth practical knowledge and develop skills.

The Department of Nursing is committed to excellence in nursing education, clinical practice, research, and community service. It plays a pivotal role in preparing competent, compassionate, and ethically grounded nursing professionals who are capable of meeting the dynamic challenges of modern healthcare.

The department offers an Undergraduate (B.Sc. Nursing) program to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector, especially in the tribal area.

Mission of the Department of Nursing

  1. To provide high-quality nursing education that integrates scientific knowledge, evidence-based practice, and clinical skills in order to develop competent and ethical nursing professionals.
  2. To foster a spirit of inquiry and innovation through research and scholarship that advances nursing knowledge and improves patient outcomes.
  3. To promote holistic, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and addresses the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of individuals and communities.
  4. To develop leadership and advocacy skills in nursing students to influence healthcare policy and promote social justice in health.
  5. To collaborate with healthcare institutions and community organizations to enhance health promotion, disease prevention, and quality of life through community engagement and service.
