The Computer Centre serves as the backbone of ICT services at IGNTU, ensuring reliable digital infrastructure, online platforms, and technical support for the university community. Its major functions and responsibilities include:
Core Services

Website Management – Design, development, and maintenance of the university’s official website (igntu.ac.in).

University CMS Portal – Management and updates of the CMS-based portal (portal.igntu.ac.in).

Online Admission Portal – Operation of the student admission system (admission.igntuonline.in).

Examination Portal – Administration of online examination forms.
-
Recruitment Portal – Development and maintenance of the recruitment system (recruitment.igntuonline.in).

Fee Payment Portals – Design, development, and maintenance of online platforms for miscellaneous university fee collections.

IGNTU ePathshala – Management of IGNTU’s e-learning platform.

File Tracking Portal – Oversight of the university’s digital file tracking system (currently inactive).

New Portal Development – Design and launch of new portals as per university requirements.
Communication & Support

Email Services – Creation and management of @igntu.ac.in email accounts for employees, and scholars.

Student Technical Support – Resolution of login, payment, and technical issues.

Campus Wi-Fi Management – User onboarding, credential distribution, and bandwidth allocation.

Samarth eGov ERP – Activation, Training,and technical support for ERP modules.

ICT Training – Training and Support for ERP , ICT modules/digital tools and platforms.
Infrastructure & Administration

Server Room Management – Continuous operation of servers, networking, and related infrastructure.

Network Administration – Maintenance of routers, switches, firewall, and university internet backbone.

ISP Coordination – Liaison with BSNL/NKN for service uptime and issue resolution.

Video Conferencing – Facilitation of online meetings in Video Confrencing.

File Processing – Handling ICT-related files, documentation, and interdepartmental communications.

Committee Participation – Representation in ICT and other university committees.
Special Responsibilities

GEM Nodal Officer (ICT Procurement) – Procurement of ICT resources via Government eMarketplace (GeM).

Coordination with UGC & MoE Portals– Timely submissions and compliance with national higher education portals.

Custom Software Development – In-house development of applications and tools for university use.
-
Emergency ICT Support – Rapid response during outages or ICT disruptions.
-
Other Assigned Duties – Execution of additional ICT responsibilities as directed by university authorities.
